The birth of a child is one of life’s most joyous moments. In the obstetrical department of Memorial Hospital, we have beautiful private rooms for the mother and her newborn. Babies stay in the room so that each moment of new life can be experienced by the mother and family. Prior to delivery, expecting parents can register for our stork club which provides many extras to make this occasion even more special.
How to Join the Stork Club
To become a member, a person must be properly registered with the hospital by the 7th month of pregnancy. Properly registered is defined as having adequate medical insurance verified or having made adequate deposits ($2,500) if no insurance is utilized. Membership is available at Memorial Hospital Business Office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Membership is FREE.
Program Benefits
- Memorial Hospital will discount both the mother’s and baby’s bill 20% after insurance payment is received. Non-insurance members will receive 20% discount on the total of both bills.
- Childbirth videos will be available for viewing to teach the couples how to cope with labor and delivery.
- Complimentary Birth Certificates and a Baby’s Diary will be provided.
- Complimentary dinner for the couple on the last night in the hospital.
- An infant car seat will be provided by the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
- Post partum exercise will be available for 3 month free of charge at the M.S. Doss Fitness Center.
- Your baby’s photo will be posted on our hospital web-site.
