Memorial Hospital is a licensed Critical Access Hospital providing a variety of healthcare services including, general medical and surgical care on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Inpatient Care
Inpatient care services include treatment of acute and chronic diseases. Our team of nurses and nurse aids work closely with your physician to provide appropriate treatment and get you back to your regular routine. In addition to receiving quality medical care, we strive to maintain a low nurse to patient ratio so that you receive the individual quality care you deserve.
Surgery
At Memorial Hospital, we maintain a general surgical suite in which local physicians as well as out of town physicians have approval to perform surgery. Our surgery staff is available Monday thru Friday for scheduled surgeries and on-call for emergencies.
Typical surgeries include:- General surgeries such as: breast biopsy, gall bladder, appendectomy, EGD / colonoscopy, tonsillectomy, thyroidectomy, hernia repair, sigmoidoscopy and carpal tunnel surgery
- Gynecological surgery including: hysterectomy, tubal ligation and D&C
- Common urological surgeries such as: vasectomy and cystoscopy
Swing Bed
Skilled nursing or "swing bed" inpatient services are additional nursing services provided for those patients who need additional time to heal and strengthen before returning home. For more information, see the "Swing Bed" page under Services or click here.
